Welcome

Thames Federation

A warm welcome on behalf of the Governors of the Thames Federation.

The Governing Board of the Thames Federation has a number of responsibilities.  We work with the Executive Head Teacher to help run the schools. The Executive Head Teacher is responsible for day-to-day management, and the Governing Board provides strategic direction and reviews progress, both challenging and supporting the Executive Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership Team.

Governors come from a variety of backgrounds and it is important to note that all provide their time on a voluntary basis.  The Governing Board meets at least every term as a full governing board and there are also two regular sub-committee meetings covering Curriculum and Finances & Resources.  Every Governor is a member of one of these sub-committees as well.  Every Governor is also allocated a specific significant topic related to the school development for which they are the designated "Link Governor" and which they are responsible for monitoring and providing reports back to the Governing Board - various Link Governor roles include, but are not limited to, Wellbeing & Resilience, SEND, Safeguarding, and Curriculum topics such as Maths or Early Years.

The vision for the Thames Federation is to ensure that every child achieves its full potential through a broad and balanced curriculum, and to lay an excellent foundation for future success.   Every Governor shares in the school's vision and values, and is proud to be part of the Thames Federation community.

Best wishes,
Jolie Collett and Louise Jones,Co-Chairs of Governors

Vision Statement

Thames Federation

‘BUILDING COMMUNITY, COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE.’

At the Thames Federation, our leaders and teachers are ambitious for each child and their families.
Together we:

  • have high expectations for behaviour and learning;
  • deliver a creative curriculum which enriches the children’s learning experience;
  • expect excellent outcomes for all our pupils.

By the time our children leave the Thames Federation, they will have a ‘can do’ attitude and will be empowered to pursue excellence in everything they do.
